Han O'Connor is a passionate, outspoken and focused young career writer with several years of professional experience.  With an expansive portfolio focused primarily on hip-hop music and culture, she has built a reputation as one of most hard-working, creative and dedicated voices within the community. Her key areas of interest and research currently include:

  • LGBT identity in Hip-Hop culture
  • Hip-Hop lyricism (and its literary merit)
  • The US and UK independent scenes
  • Hip-Hop journalism and media portrayal

She has worked with a number of  both established and upcoming artists including: Wyclef Jean, MC Lyte, Raekwon (Wu Tang Clan), Fat Joe, Young Buck, Juvenile, Flo Rida, Rodney 'Darkchild' Jerkins, Brisco, Shola Ama, Shontelle, Daniel Merriweather, Bashy, Tinchy Stryder, Donny Goines, The Redland, D. Woods (of Danity Kane), producer Rieces Pieces and many more.

Han's work has appeared in both print and online media, including MTV UK's The Wrap Up, Allhiphop.com, RIDDIM Magazine (Germany) and Suite 101.  In addition to her freelance work, Han is currently working toward a degree in English Literature and German at Cardiff University.
